Chef/Proprietor Albert Paris has created a dream concept visualization. Mantra located at 122 South 18th Street on Rittenhouse Square. Mantra~ Kitchen~ Cocktails~ Sanutary is a center city Pan-Asian restaurant lounge.
The menu includes such inspirational dishes as Jumbo Lump Crab Kamikaze, Mantra Plum Delicious Pork Ribs, Baby Bombay Burgers, Seared Sesame Scallop Singapore and Moon Braised Hong
Kong Duck Confit. The bar selection will include several Asian liquers, sake, unique artisnal Japanese wheat, stout, and spice bottled and draft beer, with an intelligently priced , well chosen wine list.
The design concept supporting Mantra is one of tranquility and inner peace. The surroundings are balanced with a circular moon gate back bar with organic glass, tile, and iridized bead mosaics. 300 year old butternut black walnut and natural edged cedar was used in construction of the one of a kind bar and table tops (when placed together form the original tree).
The interior is layered with a music theme of Asian groove, Indian, Ambient, Old Soul, Blues and an unusual repertoire of retro singers/song writers. Four nights of house spun, deep, rich, transcendental millennium mix will expand your mind.
Mantra kitchen open 5:00pm to 1:00am nightly and is available for private functions in the whole facility on Sundays and Mondays. Mantra bar open 5:00pm to 2:00am nightly. Mantra seats 80 people for a sit down event and has a private dining room that seats up to 30 people; 40 for cocktails and hors d'ouvers. We boast an entirely non smoking environment. Christopher Thompson, our general manager has intuitively selected a staff with heart, both informed and sincere in their hospitality.
The definition of Mantra is an instrument of thought delivering the mind from illusion, allowing one to be naturally aware, leaving the purpose of life to love abundantly. Albert aspires to travel this pathway through a unique culinary experience in an inspiring setting.
